Fragment
The work starts as a fragment. A real moment. A feeling that has not yet found its image.
We stay with that feeling until a picture arrives that can hold it.
Time
Time in the work is not plotted. It is the time of remembering: circular, slightly wrong, more true than a clock.
A scene can last as long as a glance, or as long as a life that glance contains.
Why
We make these pieces so that someone, somewhere, might recognize a life of their own.
Recognition is the whole of it.
Together
The two of us make this together. We used to make things alone.
The pictures are made with the tools at hand, including current models, then finished by hand in the same way any other picture is finished.
